TD Orchestra is collaborating with an Ottawa-based social development program called OrKidstra that empowers kids from under-served communities by teaching life skills, such as teamwork, commitment, respect and pride in achievement, through the universal language of music. Starting with 27 children in 2007, OrKidstra now includes 700 children and youth from over 60 linguistic and cultural backgrounds.

TD Orchestra and OrKidstra will work together to put on tours in Canada, where TD Orchestra members will be able to interact with OrKidstra through joint concerts, interdisciplinary workshops, and long-term projects both within and outside of music. 

TD Orchestra will be traveling to Ottawa and Toronto at the end of May 2025; in Toronto, the orchestra will also record a new version of Music Can Change The World arranged by Tatsuya Daniel, in collaboration with renowned soul & reggae singer Tréson, as well as producer and cellist Margaret Maria. Moreover, TD Orchestra will record What Makes Us Human, When Nature Went Silent, and A Night on the Waterfront by Tatsuya Daniel in Toronto, which will be released as an EP on music stores worldwide following the tour.
